Chorok was such a lovely spot — honestly way nicer than I anticipated. The space is incredibly cozy and thoughtfully designed, and I ended up extending my stay because it felt so comfortable and homey.
Even though there aren’t many windows, the lighting throughout the apartment is so well done that the space feels warm and welcoming at all times. I especially loved the heating pad on the bed (such a thoughtful touch!), and all the little design details and cozy accents really make you feel at home.
Check-in was very easy, and the host was kind, responsive, and lovely to communicate with. The record player was such a nice bonus and added to the overall charm of the space. The in unit washing machine was great, the convenience store right outside the front door is nice for late night snacks!
I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it — a true hidden gem.
I cant think of anything I would change about the space! For a Canadian coming to Seoul, the shower was a bit different for me, as it is a 'wetroom'. This is pretty typical around the word, but not what I was expecting! A wet room is a fully waterproofed bathroom where the shower area isn't separated by a tray or enclosure, allowing the entire space to get wet, with a floor drain and gentle slope to direct water away for a seamless, open-concept design that feels spacious and is accessible.
