For those wanting to get away from commercialized/sanitized tourism and seeking quiet relaxation and immersion in nature and culture, this is the place. The property is remote and beautiful, facilities clean and atmospheric, food is great, and a friendly and knowledgeable host can advise on local forays and activities. Like a home stay, but with enough luxury to take it just beyond rustic minimalism. One of the best experiences and hosts in all my travel experiences, and wonderful neighbors too.

This place is a haven of tranquility, peace and natural beauty. We loved everything about Manikyang residence, from Louisa's warm welcome and generosity, the delicious food she prepared for us, to the wonderful amentities. Everything was provided for us, including tea, coffee, milk, cereal, biscuits etc. It felt like home for the two days we stayed and we regretted to have had so little time but we're planning to be back for a whole week next year as this is the perfect place to relax and reset.
If you're after nightlife and shopping, obviously this is the wrong place. But if it's rest and tranquility you need, then this place is absolutely perfect.
Nothing, everything was perfect, just wish we'd have had more time to enjoy it. But we'll be back!

Séjour mitigé dans un cadre magnifique
Nous avons choisi cet établissement pour son environnement naturel et, sur ce point, nous n'avons pas été déçus. Le cadre est superbe, entouré d'une végétation luxuriante qui offre une véritable sensation de calme et de déconnexion. La piscine est agréable et s'intègre parfaitement dans ce décor verdoyant. La localisation est également un point fort pour les voyageurs qui recherchent la tranquillité et une expérience plus authentique. Nous tenons aussi à remercier Louise, dont la disponibilité, la gentillesse et la réactivité ont été appréciées tout au long du séjour.
Malheureusement, plusieurs aspects ont fortement terni notre expérience.
Propreté insuffisante
La chambre manquait clairement d'entretien. La moustiquaire située au-dessus du lit était couverte de poussière, de taches et de nombreuses saletés visibles à l'œil nu. Les photos prises sur place montrent une accumulation importante de poussière et de débris sur l'ensemble de la moustiquaire, donnant l'impression qu'elle n'avait pas été nettoyée depuis longtemps. Pour un équipement placé juste au-dessus du lit, cela est difficilement acceptable.
Entretien et maintenance défaillants
La porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas correctement. Nous avons dû utiliser notre propre ceinture pour la maintenir fermée durant notre séjour. Ce genre de problème de maintenance est pourtant simple à identifier et devrait être réglé avant l'arrivée des clients.
Restauration très décevante
Les dîners ont été particulièrement mauvais, tant en termes de qualité que de goût. Le petit-déjeuner était également très décevant, peu varié et peu appétissant. C'est probablement le point qui nous a le plus déçus durant notre séjour.
Un isolement qui n'explique pas tout
L'établissement est effectivement situé dans une zone reculée, mais cela ne constitue pas un problème pour nous. Nous avons déjà séjourné dans des hébergements bien plus isolés, tout en bénéficiant d'un excellent niveau de propreté, d'entretien et de restauration. L'emplacement ne peut donc pas justifier les manquements constatés.
