We stayed here for two nights over Valentine’s weekend and overall had a good experience, with some truly standout features and a few important things future guests should know.
First, the positives - because there are many. The views are absolutely spectacular. Truly the kind that make you pause and just breathe. The cabin itself is super clean, modern, and thoughtfully stocked with appliances and kitchen tools (though oddly, no wine opener - a small but surprising omission for a mountain getaway!).
Parking was easy, directions were spot-on, and the road access was no issue at all. The beds were a major highlight, especially in the downstairs double room. Instead of the typical small twin beds, there were two true queen beds that were spacious and extremely comfortable. Huge win.
The hot tub is also impressively large, with an incredible view from the deck. There were plenty of chairs and even firewood ready for the firepit, which made the outdoor space feel inviting and well-prepared.
The people I called at the office were very friendly and helpful.
The downstairs has two bedrooms that share one large, beautiful bathroom -but it has only a barn door with no lock. For a shared bathroom setup, this felt like a big oversight. We had to create a “knock if the door is closed” system among ourselves. A simple lock would make a huge difference in privacy and comfort.
The upstairs master bedroom has east-facing windows with no shades, which makes sleeping in nearly impossible once the sun comes up. Some form of blackout or even light-filtering shades would greatly improve the experience.
Weirdly all of the emails I received from the rebtal ocmpany did NOT list a check out time ... So note that it's 10 AM!
The biggest disappointment was the hot tub temperature upon arrival. We arrived Friday evening and it was at 68°F. It did not reach a usable temperature until late the next morning (around 11 AM) after someone was sent to fix it. Since the hot tub is a key reason we book cabins, this significantly impacted our stay.
Lastly, pricing transparency was frustrating. The listing initially showed $876.70 on Booking.com. After booking, the charge became $941.60. Then, after signing a lengthy rental agreement and additional paperwork, the final total was $1,152- about $210 more than the original booking amount. While we ultimately proceeded because we liked the property, the price increases felt unclear and unexpected.
