The apartment was very clean and tastefully furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves (apart from a tin opener). The main bedroom was spacious and comfortable and the lounge/diner was very big as it also had room for a king size bed. All the rooms had outside shutters that you operate from inside the window frame. The main bedroom also had curtains but the lounge did not so the daylight came through in the early morning. The apartment had ample space for two people but might be a little crowded for six. The sofa pulled out into a sofa bed and was comfy to sit on like this to watch TV.
The area itself was scenic and felt very safe. We left our car in the parking space provided (after accidentally parking in a neighbours space; they were very nice about it!) We then travelled by bus or train and explored Korblenz and the surrounding towns. There was a REWE supermarket within (less than) a 10 min walk which exceeded our expectations for the size and variety of products sold.
We very much enjoyed visiting Burg Eltz (castle) and Burg Rheinfels (castle) and the very friendly tea room in Korblenz called Cafe Guglhupf where the apple cheesecake was delicious.
As we were a couple the owner locked one of the bedrooms as ‘we didn’t need to use it’ - as my partner has rheumatoid arthritis and likes to sleep alone if she’s in pain this meant I had to sleep in the lounge occasionally - which didn’t have curtains only shutters. The cupboard to the extra bedding was also locked as again it was deemed we had sufficient - I wasn’t keen on the style of pillow but couldn’t see if there was an alternative available. However as the owner was very attentive and accommodating I feel had I explained further to him about these issues he would have addressed them without a problem. I chose not to as it wasn’t that important to us but for others it might be an issue so be clear with your needs.
We didn’t use the balcony as the view is of buildings and an undeveloped scrubland beneath it!
There is a railway track very close to the apartment block which also has goods trains running through so was noisier than expected. The road outside was also busy at peak times so expect some car noise. The neighbours were also banging around until around midnight. However all of those things are outside of the owners control and didn’t impact our enjoyment but might be a consideration for others.

Everything was clean and the apartment was equipped with everything you need!!
there is no long full view mirror in the bedroom which makes it a bit difficult to get ready. Also noisy neighbours at night.

all good. very convenience location. good communication and have everything you need，same as photos show，bed is very comfy, fan is perfect for this hot weather. no good for heavy luggage because need to walk one floor up, otherwise is perfect
