Amazing experience — definitely one of the best places I stayed at.
I truly loved my time at Olala Café and in the bungalow. Alan and Richard are incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts — and they come with an adorable cat family.
It was my first time staying in a tiny house concept, and I was honestly amazed by how little space you really need. The bungalows are quite new, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with everything you need (fridge, fan, etc.).
The most magical part was sitting on the terrace in the evening, listening to the jungle sounds and animals. It felt so peaceful — a kind of calm that’s hard to find and that I’ll probably miss for a while :‘) Truly a special experience. In retrospect, I wish I had stayed longer.
I didn’t explore the entire island, but depending on what you’re looking for, there might be locations closer to the main beaches in Koh Lanta. That said, being near Old Town is still great — there are lovely spots to explore, and with a scooter it’s easy to get around the island anyway.

The hosts of this property are on another level, I never stayed with such joyful hosts before. I felt like a part of a family by the time I left. The future here will have a little art gallery, this is an art cafe by the way, and it's so nice how people stop by, have the most delicious coffee on the island, and stay and chat - Richard told me so many other ideas they have as they grow. This is a new guest house, and it is only just beginning, and off to a wonderful start. I have a total crush on ALL of the cats and I miss kissing my Dam Dam and Geiger.
Ohh want to bring Dam Dam in a suitcase with me there is no substitute for this little star of a cat.

The owners, the jungle setting, comfortable bed, lovely bungalow
Very close to reception so we could hear people.chatting and this woke us a few times but if you are an early riser, no issues at all the owners could not have been kinder or more helpful.to us, would recommend

Cute, comfortable bungalows, Alan & Richard the owners are absolutely lovely, the drinks Alan makes are delicious and they helped us with everything we needed. 10/10 we can’t wait to come back
