Guest Security & Verification Requirements:
We take the safety and security of our guests and properties seriously. To help prevent fraudulent bookings and ensure a secure stay, all guests are required to complete our online hotel-style check-in process before arrival.
- Complete the online check-in requirements.
- Sign the Rental Agreement.
- Upload a valid government-issued ID for identity verification.
- Select one of the following options for property protection:
1. Damage Waiver – A one-time $45, non-refundable fee that provides coverage for eligible accidental damage and mishaps.
2. Refundable $1000 Security Deposit Hold – A temporary authorization hold that is released 3 - 5 business days after the stay, provided there is no eligible damage or violation of the rental terms.
Age requirement to book is 25+.
A 4x4 is recommended for the driveway, but not required.
Please note that our property is nestled in the mountains amidst a wooded area, which means that the open spaces and outdoor sitting areas may be exposed to leaves, dust, pollen, and other natural elements. After a few days from the last cleaning, these outside areas may accumulate leaves, pollen, and some dust due to their exposure. We appreciate your understanding in this regard.
This space has been prepared for guests traveling from out of town! We love to host guests from out of town who have previously stayed in short-term rentals and earned favorable reviews. While we appreciate the interest in staying with our property, please note that we do not cater to guests who live in the area and are looking for an alternate venue for their affairs or events and reserve the right to turn these guests away.
There will be a $500 fine for fires left unattended or fires that were not put out prior to leaving or retiring for the night. We don't want any embers be blown over to the nearby trees/woods, or anything that can potentially set it on fire.
Guests give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to screen their identity and check criminal databases to confirm their reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest screening can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening. Please check your spam inbox for this email and contact the property manager if you have any questions. Guests are required to complete the guest screening booking requirement, to avoid cancellation of the reservation.

We had a lovely stay. The home was very clean and comfortable and we appreciated all the amenities. The porch was nice and relaxing and the dogs enjoyed feeding the deer (and squirrels).

Who knew we would be walking into a fully stocked home? We could have forgotten every item but our own personal clothes, and we would have been good to go for an incredible vacation. Chet's Place is just the place to go for a getaway filled with outdoor amenities, wineries, orchards, and downtown restaurants. We could have stayed at Chet's Place and not left the property for the four days, and we would have been thrilled. The only thing we didn't get to experience is the sound of gentle rain on the metal rooftop. We will be coming back with family to help share this experience with others!

Lovely pet friendly cabin. Extremely clean and stocked with anything you could need. The decorations for Christmas were absolutely beautiful. Excellent communication with the host.
