The apartment was spacious with good kitchen facilities. It has a nice garden, internal carparking, great location and communication with the host through WhatsApp was excellent and we felt very welcome.
Our overall experience was good, and we truly enjoyed our stay. The property is in a wonderful location, and we appreciated the effort that has gone into making it welcoming and comfortable. The following comments are offered as friendly suggestions that may help further enhance the experience for future guests.
We found that the downstairs bedrooms could feel somewhat humid during our stay. The air-conditioning unit in one of the rooms was very helpful, and running it overnight seemed to provide the most comfortable environment. Guests who are particularly sensitive to humidity may find this useful to know. We also found the smallest downstairs bedroom to be quite cosy in size.
A small addition that could further improve guest comfort would be bedside lamps in the bedrooms. As we were travelling with two elderly family members, having a bedside light would have been particularly convenient during the night and would avoid the need to turn on the main ceiling light.
The mattress on the downstairs double bed appears to be showing some signs of wear and may benefit from replacement in the future, as it is sinking in the middle and not comfortable to sleep on.
We also noticed that the kitchen cooktop occasionally switched on and off while in use. It remained functional and we were able to cook without major issues, although it did make meal preparation slightly more challenging at times.
We hope these comments are helpful and are shared in the spirit of helping maintain and further improve what is already a lovely property. Thank you again for a very enjoyable stay.

La casa è molto bella e accogliente, provvista di tutto e con parcheggio interno per l'auto. È molto spaziosa e con un bellissimo giardino. A 5 minuti di auto da Porto Ceresio.
Direi niente. Unica nota. Mettete un pentolino più piccolo per scaldare il latte per chi non volesse utilizzare il microonde e un adattatore per la caffettiera...

We stayed here for a week and a half. It’s an ideal base for trips to Varese, Milan, Porto Ceresio itself, and the surrounding lakes. You’re right in the middle of the village, which we found to be a beautiful location.
You have the entire house to yourself, including a garden, a gated parking space, and even a charging point for your electric car. The house stays pleasantly cool and has several playful split levels.
Communication with the host was efficient and seamless via WhatsApp. He consistently responded promptly and addressed any questions or requests effectively. He also provided us with suggestions for restaurants and ice cream salons, which was very much appreciated.
Unfortunately, cleanliness was an issue during our stay. We found a damp cleaning cloth in a drawer that had an unpleasant smell, and ants were regularly entering under the front door and spreading across the ground floor. Also, several surfaces were sticky. The dishwasher did not work at all during our stay.
- In the final days, we had no hot water, as the boiler kept switching off. It could be restarted via a button on the outdoor unit, but only worked briefly.
- The grass was long, making it less suitable for children to play on. To his credit, the host arranged for it to be mowed, and we were able to enjoy the garden for a few days afterward. There was also a construction-like pit in the garden, but since it was at the back, it wasn’t a major issue. It wasn’t safe for the kids, but the garden was big enough to avoid that part.
- The whirlpool bath was very dirty on arrival. I purchased cleaning products and ran several cleaning cycles, as there was significant residue inside.
- We also noticed some maintenance issues: water would continuously accumulate on the bathroom floor on the lowest level, and the toilet on the first floor kept running unless manually stopped.
- The frame of the bed located on the ground floor is broken.
- The bedroom curtains are very thin and transparent, so the rooms become bright as soon as it gets light outside 😎
