Recently we had an opportunity to stay for two nights (27th & 28th March) in the Welina Hotel, Bhubaneswar.
This hotel is located near info city at Chandaka Industrial Area, Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.
This makes it easy to access the Airport, railway station, tourist destinations, National highway, Government offices and other major areas of the city.
The hotel is comparatively new having commenced its operations since August 2025.
Their great hospitality was visible right from entering the hotel.
The hospitalities extended by the security guards, the counter staff Ms. Reshmi & Mr. Pal were excellent.
We were allotted room no-303 (a deluxe room).
The room was spacious and clean with sufficient supply of clean linen, tea/coffee making materials, mineral water etc
The toilet was very spacious, comfortable & clean with sufficient supply of toiletries.
The house keeping & room services were very prompt.
All the service staff are polite and kind.
The in-house restaurant ' The Salt Factory' offers a good variety of delicious food, both local and standard cuisine.
The breakfast served here was of very good quality.
Even the food served through room service were of very good quality.
Overall, easily it was an exceptional stay for us at Hotel Welina.
The hotel is excellent in room quality, interior, quality of products used, facilities, staff, restaurant, reasonable pricing.
I will, for sure, recommend Hotel Welina to anyone who is looking for comfort, cleanliness, and excellent hospitality.
However my conscious will not pardon if I do not mention about an issue which I faced during my stay there.
On 28th morning, just before we left for breakfast, we kept our money, duly counted, in my wife’s handbag.
This is regular our practice every time as we never expect theft from such hotels.
However, on our return we noted that Rs.600/- (3x200) was missing from this.
We thought that it may be our mistake in counting.
On 29th morning, just before we left for breakfast, once again we kept our money, duly counted, in my wife’s handbag.
Surprisingly we noted a loss of Rs.400/- (2x200) was missing from this.
It seems that somebody was keeping a watch on our movements and used the time of our absence (i.e. during our visit for breakfast) to steal the money in similar modus operand.
We did not make any complaint to the counter staff while checking out as we were so much happy with our experience in the hotel otherwise.
I am mentioning this here only with an intention of making the hotel management aware of this indecent incident for appropriate remedial measures and to request future guests to be more careful.
