Apologies for the late review, but I couldn’t miss sharing what a truly wonderful surprise this stay turned out to be.
Nestled in the tranquil backwaters of Alleppey, the property offers a rare sense of peace and quiet—perfect for disconnecting from the chaos of everyday life. The house itself is a beautifully restored old *tharavadu*, retaining all its original charm and authenticity while still being comfortable and welcoming.
What made our stay especially memorable were the hosts—a genuinely warm and kind couple who made us feel less like guests and more like family. They were attentive, thoughtful, and always happy to accommodate our requests, which added a very personal touch to the experience.
If you’re looking for a serene escape surrounded by nature, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. It’s the perfect retreat to slow down, recharge, and soak in the beauty of the backwaters.

L'accueil de Shine et de sa famille est incroyable, il est aux petits soins pour ses hôtes et on se sent comme chez l'habitant. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et change tous les jours, les chambres sont propres et simples, mais il y a tout le nécessaire. L'hôtel est très bien situé, avec une vue magnifique sur les backwaters et face au coucher du soleil, mais au calme. Le point de chute idéal pour explorer les backwaters hors des sentiers touristiques. Shine peut vous arranger toutes les visites (village, tour en bateau, massage ayurvédique, transferts...). Un séjour incroyable et un hôtel que je recommande à 100% !

We really enjoyed the place, nice location. Food is superb, the caretaker really knows how to handle a guest. He really made our vacation super.
