This place is absolutely adorable! When you book, it's through a travel agency that has helped this local grandmother setup her home for rent. She and her family are incredibly hospitable, responsive, and the view from the location is absolutely incredible (especially at sunset)! You can also see Chaukhamba (7,100m) Mountain towering off to the right. Her son and his family made us dinner that was delicious, and we were only a 45-minute drive to the Madhyamaheshwar trailhead in the morning.
We took the quadruple room in the back near the bottom of the house. The ceilings are short and there's only electricity after 4pm, also you won't have a showerhead or hot water... however this is to be expected for this mountain village. It's the perfect one-night stopover before heading up the mountain.
