From my arrival in Malawi, I was met at the airport as arranged with no problems. Once we arrived at the hotel I was welcomed like family and the manager Jessie and her wonderful staff team, go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Nothing is a problem for them, especially when it comes to meals that are accompanied by an excellent service.nFor breakfast and other meals you can eat what is familiar for me in the UK, or try their exquisite local dishes. I have travelled extensively across the globe and their local dishes, are amongst the best I've ever eaten. Everything is prepared from scratch, so order it and be taken by the deliciousness you will experience. I fully recommend Kaduwa Imperial Hotel to all visitors to Lilongwe, if you want a genuine local feel across the accommodation and social areas too.

A truly authentically African hotel that embraces the richness of Africa. The decor, the hospitality and my favourite, the foodšvery delicious and presented in a way that reminded me of my grandmother in Mulanje.
The staff were very welcoming and attentive. A wonderful experience, and definitely a place I will be returning to on my next Lilongwe visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish, peaceful, and distinctly African-Malawian boutique hotel

Photos in listing are VERY well done. There is no āsunny lodgeā vibe in this converted office building. Boxy, white, water stained, room doors from the 1980ās. Super echoing halkways so you listen to the downstairs staff talkingā¦.
I had to leave early to catch a flight and could not get out the front door. Luckily (as always) Iād scouted the property and used a back exit.
As to posterās concern about credit card using official (low) exchange rate. They canāt avoid that. But you can take your USD/EUR to the nearby supermarket area and street exchange it and pay bill in cash. Which cuts the effective cost IN HALF.
As previous reviewer pointed out (and response claimed that that had been corrected) the mattresses are STILL wrapped in shipping plastic, the bed sheet is a skinny polyester mess, and the top sheet is a tablecloth. Not exactly āEco vibeā. You wake many times either sweating on the impermeable layer or stuck to the plastic.
They are on the Booking site, but did not respond to multiple messages that I sent, and were completely unaware when I arrived. I had to show confirmation for them to get stay and rate info. Iād strongly suggest that they be deplatformed.
Forget claimed amenities such as āairport shuttle, sun terrace, room serviceā.
