Seres Sayulita Beach Hotel

It appears this hotel is under renovations and has great potential when complete. The positives: location, location, location! ON THE BEACH!!! And close walking distance to everything! (But be prepared to drag your luggage 30 feet in the sand to access the hotel. Beachfront meant beachfront! The staff were very kind and helpful, someone was always around if we had questions, housekeeping was well done, you are not going to get a better view of the beach from your room anywhere else (the view is what did it for us and made the value worth it). The staff were very accommodating, providing us with a small fridge and carrying our luggage (the stairs are spiral and can be dizzying). There is a full length mirror. Shower pressure and water temps were fine. We felt safe during our stay and waking up to the ocean view was the best part. Things to be aware of: the hotel’s beach club and restaurant are only open on weekends (we were there during weekdays). The third party website we used to book the hotel said it included things like robes, a coffee maker and tv in the room - it did not. The room itself is spacious but very basic. There is a safe. The furniture on the balcony could be more comfortable - given the gorgeous views, we couldn’t sit outside long in the uncomfortable chairs. The bathroom does not have a door, it has tassels so keep that in mind depending on how much privacy you need. There are a few dresser drawers but no closets. Bathroom counter space around the sink is very limited. There’s one physical key for room access, don’t lose it! None of these were a deal breaker for us, I’d stay here again but I’d be better prepared to know what to expect with this review.

We came to Sayulita for a romantic getaway and Maramara Playa honestly blew us away. The hotel is literally on the sand — you open the floor-to-ceiling windows and it feels like the beach is part of your room. Each unit comes with a big private balcony that sits right over the beach, so we spent a ton of time out there just watching the waves and those insane sunsets. It made waking up and winding down feel kind of magical. The place is brand new and the design is super clean, modern, and simple in the best way. It has that small boutique feel — peaceful, stylish, and really well thought out. The staff communication was great from the start. Before we even arrived, they sent us a custom guide that basically laid out the whole town… where to eat, what to do, hidden gems, everything. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, relaxed, and genuinely helpful. We loved the beach club and the beach patio — both included with the stay and perfect for lounging, reading, having a drink, or just watching the surf. And if you’re a surfer, the break is basically right out front. You’re 20 steps from the water. I’d recommend this place to couples, families, solo travelers — and definitely surfers. If you want a modern, comfortable beachfront stay with incredible views and great people, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back.

The location is really good beachwise and convenient to all bars , restaurants etc. The rooms are nice and convenient, the bed is comfy and the bathroom neat with good a shower and enough towels and good beach towels. Also the balcony has a wonderful view. Nevertheless it is far from the five-star stay which is being promoted.

Since good sleep is one of the essentials for a hotel: It should be made clear that either on weekends there is a smashing rave music during the entire day and especially that the neighbouring beach club has music playing loudly the entire night until 7 in the morning. Which made sleeping quite difficult. If you’re not bothered by that, this is nice place to stay. Also it was not clear to us, that the restaurant and bar was only available on sunday, including the facilities of the beach beds in front of the hotel. That’s sad.
