We had a lovely stay at New Summer Garden. The room was huge with a brand new renovated bathroom. Short walk along the beach to nice restaurants. Short tuk tuk into Galle. Staff were lovely.

Location is fantastic. I was in the top floor. From the top floor balcony , unobstructed sea view was just beautiful. My room size was exceptionally big with comfortable bed . Room is fitted with an efficient air conditioner and ceiling fan. Basically its a type of service apartment with a kitchen corner with few utensils and induction stove. Though we didn't use it during our stay. We liked the hotel food. It's good. Complimentary breakfast was nice and breakfast area was almost on the sea shore . Watching sea and its activities and having breakfast was a relaxing experience. Definitely wish to go the same place next time to enjoy this particular hotel and its hospitality . This is a family run hotel , run by mother daughter duo , where particularly the daughter takes care of the every guest.
This property has got no lift/elevator. So we have to climb the stairs to reach our 3rd floor room. For me it was not a problem, but for my wife it was a little issue but we managed it. Sea view is obstructed from the lower floor balcony due to big trees. Otherwise everything is good.

Everything was good. Best place on the Unawatuna beach. Fruit store, souvenirs store, diving club and good restaurants nearby.
