Caravan dated, interior poor, does not reflect price paid. Better staying in Haven etc.
Nothing...via booking.com for an earlier arrival of 2pm. When we arrived the caravan was ready, however the caravan is shabby compared to the pictures. Bedrooms not even painted the same colour must be old photos. We were not happy with the state of it for £377 for 2 nights so called to complain. Within 10 mins of the call the cleaner arrived and told us that she had already done a "deep clean" on the caravan. We told her the problems are not cleaning issues, the caravan is shabby and not to the standard we expected from the property, she agreed. Issues include: worktops scratched in multiple places, walls scratched and scraped by the table, coffee table shelves collapsed. The cleaner took the coffee table outside as there were metal pieces sticking out of it which were dangerous for children . When she picked it up the top literally came off in her hands.The toilets do not flush properly. This was dismissed by the cleaner and owner as "slow to fill", not the case. Yes it is very slow to fill but when flushed water rises to the top of the bowl, tissue etc all swirling around then doesn't go down, embarrassing when sharing with others. When the toilets flush the kitchen sink makes a loud glugging noise and same when you empty the sink bowl, toilets all glugging. Decking furniture is broken, cannot be sat on. The couches are stained/burnt patches, looks like cigarettes burns.
Limescale all in the bottom of the shower. Black rings under sink, like mould/Limescale. Frayed nets on the windows. Only 1 shelf in the fridge/ no bottom shelf for putting milk. BLACK Mould on the ceiling in the bedroom. Plates all chipped. 2 small hand towels, cleaner said she would bring towels but didn't.
£377 for 2 nights I was very disappointed and very upset as my 2daughters were coming to stay and kid's. Contacted the owner, in complete denial and said "no one has complained before.
Written report above.. also not much on the site itself. Swimming is an extra £5 per person for 45 minutes. WiFi is free but not great, kept going off. Pans and cutting board also scratched badly, just all needs replacing. We stay in lots of caravans, first time in a private one. We have paid much less for friday- Monday and had better standards and more modern in Haven bronze and all facilities etc included. Took lots of photos and videos, no option to add them here but have emailed to owner and booking.com for a complaint.
