Nyne Hotels Anugrah - Bentota

The staff, food, pool, room and decor of the property were exceptional.

Absolutely nothing

I had a wonderful stay at Nyne Hotel Anugrah in Bentota. My room opened directly onto the pool with a full view of the ocean. Being able to step outside and see the sea first thing in the morning was special. There are small, thoughtful touches everywhere, like the soft motion-sensor lighting under the bed at night, which I appreciate more than I expected. The ginger lemon welcome drink was so refreshing I asked for a second one. The in-room welcome box of local sweets with an explanation of each, was a lovely introduction to Sri Lankan flavors. The complimentary afternoon tea with savory and sweet bites was one of my favorite moments. Sitting outside as the day came to a close made it even better. The food overall was excellent, with vegan, vegetarian, and non-dairy options available. I did not miss the wasteful big buffets of the traditional hotels. I mentioned I enjoyed a particular dish, and the chef surprised me the next day by preparing it again for lunch, a completely off the menu item. That kind of attentiveness really stood out.
