I just wanna say thank you so much Malaika for being our home for 2 nights! It was a spontaneous trip BUT I have hearted and saved this property Malaika for so long already maybe since 1 year ago LOL! I have underestimated Camotes Islands and I am very excited to book this property again with my German partner as soon as possible! The host is just very accommodating, from the beginning greeted us and made sure we are comfortable. We had an early checkin and even during our checkout and we ask for a transportation to the port last minute, the host sent us a pickup vehicle as the transport, not a tricycle! The property is located in such an excellent spot! We have our own private beach every day! I even woke up early to just enjoy the beach alone. We have cliffs, small caves nearby, and its all pure white sand... and the best part.. there's nobody but you and the guests of the property, and sometimes a fisherman nearby. The famous Santiago white beach is on the opposite bay you might even walk during a very low tide! We have 2 bays we can enjoy on our own and for me thats just the best thing. The views inside the 2br apartment is just amazing. They also have free activities such as paddle boarding and snorkeling - yes all FREE gears too! And if you want to rent a motorbike or a car, they also have contacts. It was just a hasslefree adventure. I dont have any words to say! I just cant wait to spend maybe 1 month or more again in this little island. I never have known the island I have underestimated, is my future 🌸

We spent a wonderful week at Malaika Bay with our family and absolutely loved it. The porch offers a stunning sea view with beautiful sunsets, and in the evenings you can observe fireflies. The beach feels authentic, with local fishermen and no mass tourism, very peaceful and relaxing. Snorkeling was good, and the location is a short walk to Santiago with small shops and local restaurants. The food delivered directly to the hotel was excellent. Rein is an outstanding host, warm, caring, and always ready to help. A truly special place to slow down and enjoy island life.
The only downside was the amount of trash on the beach, plastics, bottles, and other debris. Regular cleaning would be needed to make this place a true paradise.

I stayed in one of the bungalows at Malaika Bay Hideaway, and it was an unforgettable experience! The place is right on the beachfront, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that's hard to find elsewhere. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed, including a basic kitchenette — perfect for longer stays. It really felt like a home away from home.What truly made the stay exceptional were the amazing hosts and staff — always helpful, friendly, and responsive. They even offer WhatsApp support and are available until 11 PM, which was super convenient. There were a few unscheduled power interruptions, but honestly, they just added to the charm and peaceful vibe of the place. I ended up enjoying the quiet moments even more.
