Wonderful historic property with lovely gardens and beautifully decorated. The host was very responsive and welcoming. We had a lovely weekend with our daughter, our sons, and their partners for my nephew’s wedding on Shelter Island. We belonged to the Walt Whitman Historical Society years ago, before we moved off Long Island so that family connection to this property felt special to us.

Lovely historical home with beautiful small gardens. Home was very comfortable and welcoming. Well stocked kitchen to cook in. Rachel was easy and responsive for answering questions and making recommendations. Spot on for options to eat. Definitely would come back. It is literally in the middle of town. Greenport is a great place to spend a weekend.

Charming old historic house. Very roomy. Big kitchen and dining room. One block of the main drag. Would stay again.

My husband and I hosted our four adult children and son-in- law for a Greenport weekend and this adorable house could not be more perfect! There was plenty of space for all of us. The beds were very comfortable and the house was clean. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen and hanging out playing games. It was so nice to be so close to town - we walked minutes for shopping, cocktails and great meals. Rachel was a great host who responded to any and all questions and requests immediately. We would love to return to The Whitman House!
