Karamatsu lodge is nice, clean and tidy. There is a storage room for your gear to dry. The staff is helpful and friendly, Lee was great, gave us a bunch of recommendations. You can easily rent equipment, the ski rental service picks you up and you can leave equipment in the lodge when you leave.

Lee and the staff at the Karamatsu were an absolute pleasure. Very welcoming and warm environment with great amenities. I was very happy to be at the lodge and felt that I lucked out with my stay. Thanks again Karamatsu, I will be back!
Honestly, I don't have much constructive feedback. My 10 day stay was very smooth and I was sad to leave when my trip was up. Keep on doing what you're doing!

Great, quiet, and wholesome place to stay. Regularly had the manager come through and chat with us, and was always asking for what he can improve and his visions for the future.
Rooms were extremely comfortable, lovely tatami floors and very capable heaters, well insulated. The common area and kitchen are excellent facilities, and was a great place to spend evenings and save on food expenses, as a lot of restaurants in Hakuba have become awful expensive over the last few years.
Location is still an achieveable walk to a supermarket and bus terminal (around 600m for both), but will be a taxi ride to any busy night life spots.
There are future renovations planned for the facilities available, so watch this space!
The only draw back is bathroom facilities can be a little cold at first, so remember to steam it for 2 minutes first!

The rooms and common area were very clean. The facilty is quiet and easy to access from the train station. They have all the appliances and items in the kitchen and resting area . Perfect for long stays.
