We absolutely loved alexandra‘s villa. Not only is the villa completely new and very, very well equipped, it has the Most amazing views to the sea and to playa la boquilla. The villa has a pool and we loved to sit in there for Hours enjoying the breeze, views and nature surrounding the house. The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious and perfect to cook, sit and chat. What we liked was that the kitchen can be closed completely. We are thinking renting it long term over the rainy season, also because the bedrooms have real windows and as soon as you open it up there is mosquito net doors and you can close it completely and you are very well protected against any animal. The ventilation in the house and bedrooms and even bathroom was due to various ventilators on the inside ceiling simply perfect. I never really felt very hot.
The playa del muerto we reached on a scenic (very rustic) walking path. You have to be fit as it is steep. The beach is a natural beauty and most of the time we were there alone.
We also walked to la boquilla beach to enjoy lunch and the best gambas al ajillo at the restaurant at the beach. We shared the beach with 4 other people … a real retreat after we spent some days in mazunte …
The road to reach the house is rustic, the first part until we reached the cemetery was really okay. The last kilometer was a bit rough but we made it and at the end we were surprised by what was waiting for us. Villa xololo a real hidden gem at the best beaches in the whole area.
Isreal the caretaker was super helpful and alexandra the host always friendly and every question we had she was available

Clean, beautiful, great view, kind host. Wifi worked great. Beds were soft. Showers worked nicely!
There were several significant issues that made the stay difficult and uncomfortable:
- The rooms have air conditioning units installed, however they are not available for guests to use. It is unclear why they are present if they cannot actually be used.
- Neither room has curtains. The sunrise shines directly into the rooms every morning, making them extremely bright, very hot, and difficult to sleep past surnise.
- There are only two fans available for the entire property, forcing us to constantly move them from one area to another.
- There is very little shade throughout the property. During the day, the heat becomes almost unbearable and the space is difficult to comfortably use until around 5 PM.
- The pool lights do not work.
- We were also told there was a casual walking path leading down to the beach. We took the trail expecting easy beach access, however it felt extremely unsafe and there was ultimately no actual access to the beach from the route provided.
These issues had a major impact on the overall experience and should be addressed to better align expectations with reality.
