Perfect location. Located facing the bus station in the centre of Ambleside so perfect to get the bus to Grasmere and Keswick plus other places. The cottage is very comfortable, perfect size for a solo traveller or a couple. Very clean and a great powerful shower. It has everything you need to cook etc.
If the drive is full of cars from the B&B next door it is not easy to pass them to get to the front door especially with bags etc. I was worried that I would scrape one of the cars.
I would not have been able to squeeze into the designated car parking space due to the wall and car parked on the other side. If it wasn’t for my husband parking the car up I would have had to park elsewhere. Great bonus having a free car parking space in the centre of Ambleside but very tight.

Great little cottage, very clean and an awesome location. Wish I could have taken the bed home.... so comfortable. Great comms with the hosts. Central but far enough away from the pubs and bars so as to not be disturbed. Bus stop close by and a bonus parking space!
There is a garage and an agricultural workshop opposite but don't let google street view put you off - in over a week at the property we never once heard noise from either.
No washing machine due to space BUT the laundrette is only 158 paces away if needed and who wants to do washing on holiday! Did not detract from the experience one bit!

The bed was comfortable and the carpet was new and clean. It was easy to get on public transport
Not being able to get proper access in to the front door, the step was so high and cars parked right up to door, and the lay out wasn't helpful and very small space in the kitchen areas, we could hardly move
