Un établissement neuf avec un appartement joliment décoré et très bien équipé. Une place de parking privée en sous sol est incluse ce qui facilite le quotidien. Voiture de location indispensable pour visiter l’île et se déplacer au quotidien.
La prestation penthouse est un peu confusante. Il ne s’agit pas d’un jacuzzi mais d’une mini piscine privée non chauffée, ce qui est franchement dommage. Par ailleurs, le penthouse est sur le toit de l’immeuble et n’est pas directement connecté à l’appartement. On y accède par les parties communes en montant un étage supplémentaire ce qui ne permet pas d’en profiter pleinement. Enfin, il y a également une grande et très jolie piscine dans la résidence mais toujours non chauffée et aucun transat pour poser ses affaires ou prendre un bain de soleil autour de la piscine…. Globalement l’offre baignade est un peu décevante et inadaptée aux familles notamment avec de jeunes enfants qui nécessitent une surveillance. Enfin, pas de commerces de proximité à pieds, voiture indispensable.

Nice and modern appartment

At first glance, the apartment was lovely; clean, modern, aesthetically pleasing and reasonably priced and we felt safe during our stay. The location was good, but you needed a vehicle to get to the supermarket and Pereybere Beach.
We particularly liked that my son had his own bathroom, as did my husband and I. The apartment was a good size, and being close to the pool was convenient. The building also had a lift, which was useful, and having a designated parking space included with the booking was a real benefit. The washing machine and dryer were also very handy during our holiday.
The host was pleasant and welcoming when we arrived. He met us with the keys, showed us around the property and showed us our allocated parking space.
There were a few smaller inconsistencies with the amenities. For example, shampoo was provided in one bathroom but not the other, and there was no hand-wash in any of the bathrooms. I appreciate that guests may bring their own toiletries, but I would expect basic hand-wash to be provided in an apartment or hotel, particularly when the property is advertised as having everything guests need.
Unfortunately, there were issues. The biggest concern was the field mice. We stayed on the ground floor and the host advised us not to leave the doors open at night because bugs and mice could get in. I assumed this was precautionary and did not realise there was an existing issue. We did not leave the doors open, but the glass ventilation shutters within the living room and bedroom doors appear to provide access. A mouse made its way towards the fridge and then into the bedroom. My husband removed it, but this happened again. When he caught the second mouse, he moved the furniture and found a considerable amount of droppings behind and around the bed, suggesting an established trail and hiding place. This also raised concerns about the thoroughness of cleaning. Given the apartment is ground floor and directly opposite sugarcane fields, I feel the ventilation shutters are a structural design error and an obvious access point. Given the host's awareness, I would have expected this to have been addressed or preventative measures to be in place. We asked to be moved but were told the complex was full. We later understood that Booking.com only had a limited number of apartments allocated, meaning an alternative could not be offered until the day before we left, unfortunately too late to be useful. The final days were unsettling, and we no longer felt comfortable cooking, leaving food or belongings out, or leaving our suitcases open. There were also bathroom design issues. The showers are extremely large, but the small internal shelf only accommodates one item despite there being plenty of space for proper storage. More importantly, the shower doors open outwards, meaning when you exit, water is pushed out into the bathroom rather than being contained within the shower. This left the bathroom floor and shower mats soaking wet, with water reaching towards the bedroom and luggage.
