Location, amenities, hot tub
Lack of towels, we stayed for 4 nights, ran out of towels despite bringing our own beach towels, and having no washing machine to wash and no way to dry the towels in the middle of winter was rather inconvenient.

Excellent location. Great to walk around the estate. Generous amount of wood left for us to use at the break, bomb, Kol Kol hot tub and the indoor fireplace.
The door in the downstairs bedroom was difficult to close. We would also have liked some extra bath towels as towels do not dry in the winter.

We had such an incredible stay at Black Barn in Romansbaai. The house is beautifully designed-very modern, thoughtfully laid out, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. It feels luxurious yet comfortable, making it easy to truly relax.
One of the things we loved most was how peaceful and private it felt. The way it’s built creates a quiet, serene atmosphere, surrounded by nature. We were even treated to visits from little animals, which made the experience feel extra special-especially for the kids.
The private beach was absolutely amazing. The water was noticeably warmer, and it was perfect for families. The coral reef made it such a fun and unique spot to explore, adding a bit of adventure to the stay.
Overall, it was the perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and nature. We would definitely come back!
