The cabin and location in Tahoe Pines were great. The cabin was very nice, well appointed, clean, and comfortable. As another reviewer noted, the heating system between 1st and 2nd floor is very imbalanced, such that the 2nd is sweltering - we had to close doors and open windows which did help. Would definitely like to stay here again.

Unfortunately, the heating system was imbalanced, with the downstairs remaining rather cold and the upstairs quite hot. Part of the reason was that one of the heating vents in the living room would not open and in one upstairs bedroom, the vent could not be controlled, as the handle had broken off.The flue on the fireplace was also difficult to use, and there were no instructions.The kitchen is very well appointed and the cabin well-situated on a quiet street near the lake, and the cabin well-decorated.Tahoe Rentals did send someone out to see about the heating issues, which was good of them, but they were unable to resolve completely the heat imbalance between up and downstairs rooms.
