The location is perfect for a long weekend getaway to experience Cape Town. It is far enough away from the waterfront to be good value and very quiet yet close enough to be very cheap Uber ride anywhere you want to go. Getting an Uber never took more than 4 or 5 mins. The owner, Raymond, was very helpful and a delight to be around. The room was very clean and the self catering had everything we needed to get started. The fresh ground coffee and small tub of rusks was greatly appreciated! We were also able to securely park a full size LR Defender with roof rack and expedition equipment. Great value!

Location is great, safe to take walks. Owners included an electric blanket which made a big difference as the temperature drops significantly during the winter time.

The room came with no food. The facilities were more than adequate and the bed was extremely comfortable. The winter sheets made the use of a heater obsolete in my room but Mark said his room was cold and required extra heating. Maybe as his room (the bigger room) is not attached to the house, it is colder than mine (attached to the house). The hosts, Raymond and Barbara, were very friendly and invited us in for a chat and some drinks one night. The location is perfect for anyone wishing to be in and around Rondebosch and is very private and secure.
Nothing from my side except that the sound from the hosts TV was audible in my room. It did not prevent me from sleeping but a lighter sleeper may complain. Mark did not feel comfortable with the gardener sitting in "our" outside patio to eat/drink during his breaks. He felt that this was an invasion of our personal space should we have wanted to sit there. I am not sure what other plan can be made but other guests may also find this intrusive.
