The mountain view from the glass window is simply awesome. The host corresponded and speaks English and that is important in Kazakhstan. The washing machine plus all the kitchen appliances and utensils makes the 4 nights stay feel like home. There's also the mini super market right below and food outlets in the neighbourhood. There's also 2 pharmacies just across the street. There's a bank down the street maybe about 200 meters away. However the ATMs are in Kazakh and there's no sirus symbol so you can't withdraw any cash. For cash withdrawal you will need to walk further down the street to the big supermarket where there are many ATMs with the sirus symbol and you can select English to make your cash withdrawal.
We were not informed by booking.com or the property that payment upon checked in was in cash. As tourists, we don't carry much cash and that was really a sore thumb because we had to walk so far to the big supermarket to withdraw cash. It is unthinkable that operating a rental property without the terminal to accept credit card payment. They are not selling some fruit or vegetable push carts on the streets. Also, there's no detergent provided for the washing machine and there's no bidet beside the toilet bowl. The property address is not the same as reflected in booking.com. So you will need the property to WhatsApp you for the actual address.
