Perfect location, only 10 minutes from Castleton and 7 minutes to Hope. Beautiful hilly village with great views, a few pubs within walking distance and a Co-op. The house was perfect for our needs and we loved the outdoor terrace. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. The beds were really comfy!

Peaceful setting, plenty of room, good facilities, easy parking for one car, easy self-check-in.
The house has a damp problem in both bedrooms, with extensive visible traces of mould near the ceiling and down the wall behind both beds, which is unpleasant and smells. Because of the damp problem, the owners continuously run a quite noisy ventilation system in the attic which you can hear from both bedrooms, which we asked to be turned off as we couldn't access the controls ourselves (the hosts came round to do this and after many attempts, they did eventually manage to work out how to turn it off).
The plates in the cupboard were covered in black greasy residue, some of the towels and bed linen had dark grey marks or stains on them.
And finally, not a problem for us, but people with mobility problems might have an issue with the stairs here, they are very steep.
