The location is excellent, the accommodation brand new and clean. Comacchio itself is a pretty and interesting little town.
Our hearts sank when we arrived to very loud music from the town sagra stage which was just outside the front door. With the good double-glazed windows, that wouldn't have been a problem, but as the AC didn't work, it was a choice of having a very warm or a very loud room. The noise continued well into the early hours - so we opted for the very warm room. The hard mattress and pillows did not help (I appreciate this is a matter of preference, but these really were like concrete). Some basics just weren't right: not having been sent an access code to enter the front door (why not? - pretty essential when there's no one there to open up), we had to hang around for a while before someone eventually answered our phone calls and sent instructions. There was no information on wifi access - again we had to wait for a while before someone sent the password. That put us off calling for help with the AC - more waiting around, if indeed anyone would show up. Shame.
