Dreadful. We didn’t stay due to cleaning not having been done

Property hadn’t been cleaned: washing up in sink, bed linen from previous occupants piled on kitchen floor, bed not remade, stain on under sheet, bathroom basin not cleaned, dog poo left in bag in yard. Probably more but we didn’t look any further. Owner’s phone went to voicemail with a message saying something like they don’t monitor it so email. After 6 hours driving we then had to find alternative accommodation which we did in Brighton, our final destination. So we incurred additional hotel cost, parking charges, and food we’d brought to prepare in the evening we couldn’t in the hotel so it was wasted and we had to buy more food. In summary an appalling experience for which we are still awaiting refund and some degree of compensation for the resulting excess costs.

It is unique and quirky little house. Comfy beds, kitchen well equipped. Loved the back door opening onto the churchyard. Really good communication from the host.

If I am honest the quirky decor just went a bit too far in the lounge. Even with all the instructions it was a bit tricky to find
