Beach is nice. Games in the Beach lounge is good
Rooms – We booked the family room for 4 days, and housekeeping informed us that their policy does not include changing bed linens daily; only towels are replaced. We had to repeatedly insist before the linens changed it for once during our stay. Considering the premium price charged for the family room, basic housekeeping standards like this should be expected.
The rooms are also quite small and by design, do not include a TV at the premium price. This made the stay rather boring during the hot afternoons when going to the beach was not possible and we were confined to the room with nothing much to do.
For even basic amenities such as a hair dryer, the hotel required an ID deposit. Surprisingly, when we asked for a spoon, they again asked for an ID as security. This level of distrust towards guests felt very unwelcoming, as though customers were there to steal basic items from them.
Food – The food at the resort was disappointing and overpriced for the quality offered. The property seriously needs better chefs. Unfortunately, it is also difficult to find restaurants nearby, as most places close by 7:30–8:00 PM. On some days, we had to drive all the way to San Narciso just to find decent food. Thankfully, we had a car — otherwise the situation would have been extremely inconvenient.
Additionally, during checkout, after making the payment, we requested an itemized bill. The staff attempted to email it directly to me, but it never arrived, till date... I insisted on getting a printed copy and upon reviewing it, we discovered that we had been charged twice for an ice cream(800 peso). After we pointed out the error, the hotel refunded the 400 peso overcharge. I would strongly recommend requesting an itemized bill and carefully verifying the charges before checkout.
