In Puylaurens, a charming hilltop fortified town in the southern Tarn region, this independent cottage welcomes you for a stay combining heritage, nature, and tranquility. Known for its historical connection with the figure of Marianne, the town is also an ideal starting point for exploring the Pays de Cocagne, a region shaped by the cultivation of woad. Even today, the countryside offers a range of greens, yellows, and golds, amidst crops, small woods, and typical villages. From the cottage, you can easily access numerous marked hikes, a dovecote trail, and the weekly market. Nearby: the fortified town of Revel and its covered market, Castres and its houses on the Agout River, Albi and its UNESCO-listed Episcopal City, or Toulouse, the Pink City. The cottage, located on a hill away from traffic, is housed in a former presbytery, retaining all of its character. With its generous volumes and thoughtfully designed layout, it can accommodate up to 7 people in a warm and comfortable setting. On the ground floor: - An entrance leading to a spacious living room, ideal for socializing - A bright dining room - A separate, fully equipped kitchen (filter coffee maker and Dolce Gusto) - Separate toilet Upstairs: - Bedroom 1: 160cm bed + 90cm cabin bed - Bedroom 2: 140cm bed - Bedroom 3: 2 90cm beds - 1 bathroom - 1 shower room with toilet Outdoors, you'll enjoy a grassy courtyard at the front, with a low wall, and an open area at the rear. Garden furniture and a barbecue are available. Parking is easy in the immediate vicinity of the house. The cottage belongs to the municipality of Puylaurens, and access to the municipal swimming pool is free during the summer.
