Vile.

Nothing. Absolutely vile , dirty and shocking service from booking.com

Every part of the house was stinking dirty. Smelt terrible. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.

Spacious and had everything we needed.

It was incredibly quiet despite the location near a major road thanks to very good double glazing. We enjoyed the hot tub. It was great to have loads of space and also the pool table was fun.

Not acceptable

The cottage itself was perfect on paper, a good size and well located for our planned New Years event. Parking was no issue and communication from the hosts was good.

Sadly when we arrived we noticed 3 heaters plugged in around the cottage. Upon contacting the host about this we were informed the heating was not working. It took several hours to warm the downstairs of the cottage and the upstairs remained freezing along with the bedrooms in the extension. We asked our friends who were travelling to us the following day to bring another heater after spending a very cold New Years Eve there. For a cottage that sleeps 10 there were only 4 mugs in the kitchen and we had to pop out to buy a couple more. We discovered the guest book, tucked away in a cupboard and this was understandable as the poor people who had been there before us had spent Christmas in freezing conditions and with a dirty hot-tub. The tub had been re-filled before we arrived, but we were only able to use it once because the filter had not been changed and by the morning it was unusable again, there were no chemicals or filters available for us to fix this. The heating has clearly been an issue for some time but yet the host felt 3 small electric heaters would rectify this. We made the best of a bad situation and enjoyed our stay, but this is very poor service. There were no curtains in the upstairs bedroom meaning an early wakeup and problems sleeping at night. The plugs in both baths stuck and we had no choice but to prize them open with a knife. The jets had not been run or cleaned in the bath as it filled with a horrible brown scum when we used them. Not exactly the relaxing/romantic bath we'd planned. Excess rubbish was over flowing in the back garden from the previous tenants who had spent Christmas there going by their wrapping paper. I felt sorry for them, I expect there stay was pretty miserable.
