1 / 10

Extreme damp issue through the flat with an unbareable stench.

The location of the property was great for trips around jesmond dene

I was unsure whether to leave a review, as I understand how important they are for both businesses and future guests. However, I feel it’s only fair to share my experience. During our two-night stay, the level of damp in the property was extremely noticeable and concerning. There was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the property—which was so overpowering it made both me and my son feel physically sick. I did raise these issues with the owner, who kindly offered to return and carry out an additional clean after I also mentioned several cleanliness concerns. While this was appreciated, the main issue was the damp, which clearly requires more serious attention than cleaning alone. Although we were out for much of the day, even spending the evenings there was very uncomfortable due to the smell and atmosphere in the property. I honestly couldn’t wait to leave—returning to the hospital felt more comfortable, which says a lot. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend staying here, particularly for more than a night, until the damp problem has been properly resolved.

3 / 10

Poor renovation, noisy neighbours. Wouldn’t stay again.

Great location, responsive host. Clear instructions.

Flies everywhere, couldn’t work out where they were coming from. The property has been renovated to a very poor standard which is a shame. The flats upstairs was incredibly noisy until 5am.
