In potentie is het een goed hotel maar het lijkt erop alsof ze net gestart zijn. Kamers zijn ruim en goed en compleet ingericht. Bedden zijn fijn. De locatie is een goede uitvalsbasis. In de buurt is vanalles te doen en het is niet te ver van Laxman Juhla (want dat is echt een leuke locatie).
Aan alles mankeerde wel iets. De kamers waren niet perse vies, maar wel verkeerd schoongemaakt waardoor de vloer plakte. Die hebben we met een handdoek afgenomen en toen was het ok. Douchen zonder dat de hele badkamer onderliep was lastig. Het dekbedovertrek was kapot, net als een van de kussenslopen. De behandeling van de kamers was inconsequent. Water, koffie, thee, maar ook handdoeken…. Daar zat geen systeem in. Het zwembad ziet er op de foto’s mooi uit maar in werkelijkheid tref je een kaal en stoffig dak met een klein zwembad. Zonder sfeer of wat dan ook. Ontbijten doe je in het restaurant onder het hotel. Dat is erg karig, zeker als je graag iets westers eet, iets wat in alle andere restaurants en hotels goed geregeld is. Wij zijn de tweede dag elders gaan ontbijten. Maar het belangrijkste is misschien nog wel de locatie. Het hotel ligt aan een drukke weg en het is elke ochtend een enorme takkeherrie. Niet een beetje lawaai, maar heel veel lawaai. Daar komt dan nog bij dat wij de kamers achter de receptie hadden. Dat helpt ook niet echt als je een rustige kamer wil. Tenslotte: het leek erop alsof het personeel ook niet zo goed wist wat ze aan het doen was. Kortom, was het heel slecht? Nee, dat was het niet maar is serieus werk aan de winkel. Met meer aandacht voor alle details is er een beter hotel van te maken.

My stay with Urban chant is marked by the kind and helpful staff. Room looked similar from the pictures, there was food available from the restaurant downstairs and the room was comfortable and enough for my needs. The safely and welcoming atmosphere I felt at the restaurant made the rest of my stay more positive. Thank you.
Cleanliness of carpets and floors can be improved.
