Budapest is lovely and we enjoyed our time there despite the problems we had. I’m quite disappointed with the customer s
The location is great and the bed upstairs was very comfortable.
We didn’t have any problems in the beginning. What you pay is what you get, so we liked it for the first few days. However, the stove wasn’t working and when I told the host about it they told me to discuss it with their assistant. I explained everything to the assistant but it took a long time for them to reply, one time we had to wait more than 24h, which is insane considering our stay was less than 4 days. They replied only after I called them, saying they did not see the previous text (sent 26h before). I called them because in the span of those long hours we were waiting for a reply, we encountered a few new problems:
We wanted to use the oven, which there was no pan for, or any type of dishware we could use for it. Also, where there are usually numbers stating the temperature you can turn your oven to, in this case was nothing. So we were supposed to guess how hot the oven is and then just pray for the best? Sure.
From the beginning we actually did notice something, but we didn’t give it much thought at first. We felt tingling and stinging when we touched the shower head. At first it was minor, still weird and uncomfortable, because you had to try and thouch the shower head as little as possible, which is not desirable, in the shower. The real problem was when my friend was showering and felt her whole arm that was holding the shower head going numb. Of course, she was very scared, and that’s when we called the assistant.
They did not answer, but we were texting and at first they were gaslighting us that nothing could be wrong with the shower. After some time they sent 2 younger assistants to bring us some pans and check out the problem. They were trying to figure out the disappeared numbers for the temperature on the oven by comparing it with a similar model of the oven they found online. They helped us out the best they could and were very nice.
