We were welcomed personally by Alessia on arrival who was very sweet and helpful. She even left us a bottle of wine and cold water in the fridge - a lovely touch. She and her partner Francesco have recently refurbished the apartment. It’s very tastefully done to a high spec and everything was spotlessly clean. They’ve given thought to details like mosquito screens on the windows, hooks in the bathroom and a shelf in the shower to put your shampoo etc (two things which are so frequently missing in accommodation). The bed is large and very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped (it even has a wine fridge!) and there is also outside space with a table to eat at.
The town’s main historical centre is right outside the front door but it is pretty much pedestrianised so no traffic noise at all.
There are no curtains or blinds on the inside of the windows but you just need to close the exterior shutters to darken the rooms, so not a problem.
We only stayed a couple of nights but it’s perfect for exploring local wineries, including the Cantina di Nizza, and as it is on the Asti train line you can get there without the need for a car.
During our stay, we had a problem with an aircon unit which they assisted with immediately and were very apologetic. 10/10 for being attentive owners! A huge thank you to you both of you! Alla prossima!
