The cottage was tastefully decorated, tidy not cluttered and felt cosy and relaxing. Lots of natural light in the main open-plan room. There was a lovely welcome basket full of treats, and a pint of milk in the fridge which was so helpful. There were lots of useful items provided eg a few dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper, tissues, cleaning materials. The double bedroom was nice and roomy and having both upstairs and downstairs toilets was useful. The surrounding area is beautiful and we walked along the river for a bit. It’s very peaceful. There were excellent recommendations provided at the property for local food and activities and we especially enjoyed Brunch at Millers Farm shop, a takeaway curry from Cinnamons in Axminster and pizza at Poco Pizza in Lyme Regis, as well as walks along the coast path - the OS Map provided was very useful for this. We loved the close proximity to beaches like Lyme bay and Charmouth.
We had a problem with the hob and Lyme Bay holidays sent someone immediately to look at it, which was appreciated. The road to the property is quite bumpy, this wasn’t a problem for us but nervous drivers might mind.

We had plenty of space and with the bedrooms downstairs they were lovely and cool in the hot weather.
The very thin road to the property, as they make me anxious. But that was only a personal issue
