Lock box made it very easy and convenient, host was accomodating and communicative and very friendly. The space was great for a big family group and there was a big garden for the children to play. Its in a good location, especially when Botely road reopens later this year. I wanted to write a better review as I would book this again, but there are not a lot of large homes in Oxford with availability. There are a lot of niggles, see below if they are a deal breaker for you.
The bathrooms were clean, the rest was not brilliant. The oven trays were dirty, the BBQ was filthy and the general cleanliness and dusting had not been taken care of well. One of the kingsize beds was broken, and not able to be sorted for our stay and the family bathroom shower was very hot even at the coolest setting, a safety issue for children, we did not use it. Door locks fell off regularly, there are cracks in the walls, broken fridge and freezer drawers. A general sense of not being kept up. The property has noise sensors, fine with us we were travelling with children it was not a party trip and we did not set off the noise sensors at any point, even still the next door neighbours came round and complained we were talking too loud in the property with the bifold doors open one evening, the same next door neighbours that have a dog that barks incessantly when in the garden at all hours of the morning and night. The property sleeps 12, we were a party of 11, yet there are only 5 seats in the living room, 8 spaces at the dining table and 4 outdoor seats and not enough of a set of plates, bowls, serving dishes for groups of this size. Bring your own knife, the set in the kitchen are useless.

Great location, big, comfortable
The property sleeps 12 but only had 5 wine glasses! Garden was unkept- couldn’t even walk out in it. No outdoor furniture.

Lovely property. Love the big open plan kitchen, dinner and sitting room. Kitchen fairly well equipped. Bedrooms comfy. Plenty of parking space …. But this property does have issues
The front drive choked with weeds. Pots full of dead plants. Overflowing wheelie bins. A broken cupboard outside front door full of black bags of used laundry. Bags ripped open possibly by the rat we saw running across patio on first night. Back garden overgrown. No garden furniture to sit out, but then didn’t want to share garden with the rat. Sofa badly stained. Such a shame because this is a lovely house.
