Extremely disappointing experience refused the stay at check-in and left stranded on my birthdays

Unfortunately, I was unable to experience the property itself because I was refused the stay during the check-in process. The location appeared convenient, which was one of the reasons I originally booked it.

The way the check-in situation was handled was extremely disappointing. My provisional driving licence showed my previous address, which I explained, and I provided my current address in an attempt to resolve the issue. During the telephone conversation I found the host’s manner hostile, rude and dismissive. I was then told by message that I “did not meet our criteria” and that they “couldn’t confirm” my identity, and I was instructed to request cancellation through Booking.com. This left me without the accommodation I had booked on the evening of my birthday and forced me to urgently find alternative accommodation. I was particularly uncomfortable with the way I was treated and have raised concerns with Booking.com about whether I was treated fairly. The booking was eventually refunded, but the experience caused considerable inconvenience and completely disrupted my plans.

Clean, modern apartment with amazing views and close by to the underground and many shops :)

The views were breathtaking, the balcony had a beautiful view of the city, especially at night with all the city lights!! the flat was very spacious and clean, had everything you need. Everything in the apartment was modern and nicely presented. The concierge downstairs was so kind and helpful, there was also a gym and a sky lounge on the 45th floor that had a 360 view of london. It was also quite close to elephant and castle station and a walking distance from many shops and restaurants. There is a Sainsbury’s local and a Pret just a 2 minute walk from the building. Overall very lovely place and would 100% stay again!!

It did get quite hot in the flat, so even though there was a fan, it was still quite hot. If it had air conditioning it would be perfect.
