A peaceful spot in a quiet town, close most necessities, the supermarket (a short drive by car, or about 20 minutes by bike, not walking distance). There’s a really cool bar, a lovely bakery, and a great pizzeria just 2 minutes’ walk from the house. We also loved having a patio out back to sit outside.
The area is beautiful, with lots of fun hiking and biking trails and great scenery, and you can even take the train to nearby bigger towns like Givet.
The place feels pretty new and has almost everything you’d need. You can cook on the induction stove, and there’s also an oven and microwave. The beds were a bit on the small side for sharing, but we’re Dutch and tall, so that might just be us!
I wish there would have been more toilet paper. There was 1,5 rolls like just put in 3 and it should be good. Maybe would also be good to put a mop in there just in case.
