This is a new facility (opened around Jan 2026) with about 10 rooms. Modern furniture, fittings, etc.
Location is just off the main road (from Vridachalam to Pennadam) on a small street, and about 2.5Km from the train station.
The staff at the reception were very courteous and helped carry the bags upstairs, get a local taxi booked, etc.
There is solar water heater for bath and it worked very good even at 5.30am.
There is a nice large sitout on the first floor, with a beautiful 7-horses tile painting.
Parking for 3 cars is available at the building entrance, which is very good.
The room size was a bit small even for a single person. There is a small dresser. The bed was King/Queen and could sleep two. However, there is not much space around the bed. There is no table to put the luggage, etc.
Mosquitoes abound (due to an open "ditch" carrying waste-water just past the residency) - please carry Odomos or similar for protection.
There need to be some hooks on the door inside the bathroom. There is only a small towel rank, not reachable by those of even average height.
One main problem at night was the constant howling of street days throughout the night. If you are sensitive to such noises, you wont get a peaceful night's rest.
There is no lift (elevator). All rooms are on the first and second floor. Hence, at least one set of stairs have to be climbed.
For the room size and town size, the rent was a bit higher. However, there are not many good places to stay in and around Vridachalam town (except lodges etc near the bus stand), as far as I could find.
There is no food available - one can order or go into town where there are several veg/non-veg restaurants.
Overall, it is a convenient place for a brief stay barring some minor issues.
