Die Gastherrin ist super super lieb und zuvorkommend. Als ich angekommen bin, wurde ich sehr freundlich empfangen und es gab ein nettes Gespräch mit Willkommensdrink. Generell konnte ich alles erfragen und habe mich sehr umsorgt und wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und schlicht eingerichtet, aber vollkommend ausreichend. Das Essen (Sri Lanka - Frühstück, war hervorragend und frisch zubereitet (ich konnte sogar dabei zuschauen :)) ) Habe sogar durch eine Freundin der Hausherrin ein Glas frische Milch angeboten bekommen. 😋 Das Badezimmer teilt man sich, was aber zu keiner Zeit zu Stau oder Unannehmlichkeiten geführt hat. Es war auch sehr sauber! Würde jederzeit wieder kommen und kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen- Vor allem auch für alleinreisende Frauen!

Location, very close to train-& bus station, beach, mainroad with shops, restaurants etc. Nice room in an old fashioned house.

WiFi is non existing which was a real disappointment for me since I need it while travelling. Not even my own WiFi worked in the house, I had to step out a few metres to get signal. I think I got bedbugs. First night here out of two, my whole body started itching like crazy. Had no problems before I came here. Now I have a lot of red itchy spots from top to toe and it's driving me crazy. A fridge and a kettle would have been appreciated. It was also very annoying that I couldn't come and go as I wanted. I always had to knock on the front door to be let in to the house by an old woman who lived there. She also couldn't speak English, so impossible to communicate. On the last day, before check out, I wanted to get up early to catch the sunrise, about 6.30, and I simply couldn't get out! The old woman heard me thankfully and came out. She had other sets of keys which I never received?!!... So not only did she had to open the front door, but also the gate which had a big padlock on it! I felt like I was kept hostage there. Not a good feeling at all. Also, I could here the woman and other people talking loud and clear outside my room, phone ringing, TV on etc. The walls and door were paper thin. Non existing privacy! The accommodation needs to inform on their page on Booking.com that the guest needs to ask to be let in and out of the house certain hours. I'm not sure all guests would appreciate this, I certainly did not.

Host was very sweet. If she offers to cook for you, you should accept it. She cooked a huge rice and curry for me for much less than the restaurants charge and unlike in a restaurant, this food is prepared with love. The room is small but clean. Windows ensure this fan room stays cool. Bathroom had a great hot water heater. Mosquito net and plug in citronella device kept the bugs from interrupting sleep. All was clean and it was quiet at night for a good night's sleep.
