Canela mountain villa exceeded my expectations and made me feel so welcomed from the very start. The property owners Pat and Franco felt like family right away and gave me the best advice on where to go, what to eat, and how to spend my time during my stay in Salento. I loved the trail leading from the hotel straight into town. This safe and scenic journey was super convenient and only took about 10 minutes.
This hotel sits high on a mountain giving breathtaking views of the town and its surrounding mountainous landscapes. I spent most of my mornings lounging in the hammock taking it all in with a fresh cup of coffee.
I’ve already made plans to come back next year. I want to book the penthouse suite next time! It comes fully equipped with a fireplace, a common lounge area, and even has a private sauna/steam room.
I’m looking forward to coming back and will definitely book again!

Es un hotel con una vista espectacular se divisa toda la montaña, las habitaciones, muy cómodas, los anfitriones muy amables, y cálidos, realmente un lugar inigualable. 100% recomendado.

On ne s’attendait pas à tomber sur l’un des meilleurs hôtels de Salento en faisant notre réservation. La villa et la vue sont incroyables, et nous nous sommes sentis vraiment chanceux chaque jour de pouvoir séjourner dans un endroit pareil. Le confort de notre chambre était parfait. Le choix des matériaux et du mobilier rend la villa encore plus authentique et lui donne une véritable âme.
Paty & Franco sont de formidables hôtes, ils ont tout fait pendant le séjour pour qu’on se sente comme dans notre propre maison. J’avais l’impression d’être chez mes parents. Nous avons adoré discuter avec eux, découvrir leur histoire personnelle, mais aussi mieux comprendre la Colombie à travers leurs expériences et leur regard.
On sent qu’ils mettent beaucoup de cœur dans leur projet. Ils sont curieux, apprennent chaque jour et sont très à l’écoute de leurs visiteurs pour faire évoluer et améliorer constamment la villa. Il y avait encore quelques travaux en journée pendant notre séjour, mais cela n’a absolument pas été gênant.
En résumé, c’est le lieu parfait pour se reposer, profiter d’une vue exceptionnelle et surtout retrouver un véritable sentiment de déconnexion loin d’une vie urbaine souvent trop stressante. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter, encore merci ❤️

Beautiful location on top of a hill with magnificent views. The owners are amazing and constantly looking for their guests. Very close (walking distance) to Salento village.
