Great location—literally steps from cafes and shops and walking distance to all the tourist stuff. I expected it to be loud but once inside it was well insulated and the street noise disappeared. It was really hot in Paris when we were there so the AC was a great relief. If you wanted the windows open it would certainly have some city background hum. The apartment was clean and neat. The remote to the AC unit in the living area didnt work well so once we got it on, we couldnt change it so it was actually chilly. The curtains do not completely cover the edges of the windows and the AC light is surprisingly bright so while you dont have to turn on a light to get to the bathroom, bring a mask if you are jetlagged and need it completely dark to sleep. Note that the bathroom is downstairs from the living space and the bed/kitchen is in a half loft-type area. A bit of a haul in the middle of the night. Had some trouble with the motion sensor light in the bath area which doesnt always turn on—especially if the light in the toilet area is on. Once we figured out the shower it had great water pressure, but like many does not have a door so gets breezy and cool. Also the drain is slow and threatened to overflow the very shallow pan in the bottom and sloshed overboard at times. Getting the key from a lockbox in another building while hauling luggage was a bit confusing and cumbersome. It would have been nice if all the codes and info came in a single email so it was together. But someone in the building let us in and helped us find the lockbox on arrival. After you get the apartment key, you enter the apartment directly from the street on the other side and it is on ground level. Overall, a comfortable basic spot in a great location, if a bit overpriced.
