It is a very well organised, clean and spacious flat where you feel "home" right away. It has a lovely outside area where you can also eat or have breakfast as an alternative to the large table in the kitchen and front room area. The two bedrooms are of good size, the beds are comfortable, there is lots of storage space and good cupboard size in both rooms. The kitchen has got everything you might need, including a much welcome citrus juicer! There was also sufficient toilet rolls to last us the entire week, which was also nice. The air conditioner and ventilators kept the living area cool despite the very humid high temperatures outside. The living complex where this flat is located is really quite nice, featuring vegetation and a well looked after swimming pool with sunbeds and shades. Staff tending to the building are very friendly. Gessica, our host, was impeccable, precise and warm and very approachable. She organised our pick-up and return to the airport and provided advice and attended to anything immediately. She is a very effective communicator. The property is very close to a very nice part of the Santa Maria beach, just crossing the road, down a path and there you are. On our last swim, we were privileged to see almost between our legs what appeared to be a scallopped hammerhead shark pup right there in the shallow waters of the beach! A rare sighting! And last but not least, we were able to get perhaps the island's best and cheapest cachupa from the family-run store next door as a take-away called "Minimercado Fruta Pao". Real home-made by a former, award-winning restaurant chef. They are selling various bits that she makes, so it's a real gem if you are looking for natural and traditional foods at normal prices. Her home-made yogurts were superb! Best I've ever had, they topped the high quality yogurts I have tried in Turkey, Greece and Morocco!
It's in a leafy building, so mosquito nets are essentials and they are there in the doors and windows, but typically, they are fragile and guests need to look after them, they had some small holes and no matter how small, mosquitos will find them. So they need regular checking as that is easily missed. I also encourage visitors to check them upon arrival. But that is generally the case for mosquito areas, not really specific to this property alone.

Da localização,com super mercados e restaurantes,mesmo a poucos metros de distância,ambiente muito calmo a qualquer hora do dia,uma ótima piscina,e claro da simpatia e atenção da Sra Gessica sempre pronta para ajudar em tudo.
Praia a pouco mais de 5 min. a pé!
Adoramos, 5 ⭐️.
