From here you can quickly reach the open fell area at Tempelseter, where numerous hiking trails begin. Climb Høgevarde and visit the DNT hut on the summit or go on hikes to Ranten and Gråfjell. Discover clear mountain lakes with good fishing opportunities or, with a bit of luck, encounter one of the region's wild reindeer herds. Another worthwhile destination is the Madonna statue, a place of tranquillity with a magnificent view of the landscape around Eggedal.
