Excellent apartment in the heart of Martigues. It features a large living room with a kitchenette and a separate bedroom. The kitchenette has everything you need. The bed has a good mattress and fresh, crisp linens. The air conditioning kept the room cool despite the unusually hot weather. Restaurants and cafes are just steps away. There's a large parking lot (Leclerc) nearby on the waterfront, with both free and paid areas (marked directly on the pavement), so it's important to be aware of which is which. On Sundays and Thursdays, half the parking lot is used for a market in the morning, so overnight parking in this area is not allowed. Definitely stay here again when visiting Martigues.
This isn't a drawback, but a feature of the apartment—it's located in a historic building on the third (second in French) floor with a steep, narrow staircase. It may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
