I recently booked this room in Genting at the last minute. The pricing was reasonable and the check-in process was quick and smooth, which I appreciated. At the very least, it was a legitimate stay and not a scam, which gave some peace of mind.
However, there were quite a number of issues that affected the overall experience.
Cleanliness was a major concern, as the room did not feel properly maintained. The sofa had visible stains and an unpleasant smell. The toilet also had a strong odor, similar to something clogged. While the bathroom itself didn’t smell as bad, the drainage was clearly an issue—whenever I started the shower, the water would not drain properly and caused flooding.
Another inconvenience was that only a rain shower was available, which is not very practical or child-friendly. The extra mattress and pillow provided also looked unclean, which made them unusable.
In addition, the TV was not functioning during the stay, and there were a lot of ants at the balcony area. The waiting time for the lift was very long, which added to the inconvenience. The absence of air conditioning in the room also made the stay less comfortable.
Overall, while the price and quick check-in were positives, there is significant room for improvement, especially in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and basic amenities.
