Excellent location for Bocconi, but poor conditions and no working AC.

The location. I specifically needed accommodation close to Bocconi University, and for this purpose the location was very convenient.

Unfortunately, almost everything apart from the location was disappointing. The instructions for finding the apartment were unclear: although the buildings are numbered, the directions referred to the building “on the left,” while there are two buildings on the left facing each other. I therefore had to climb both buildings before finding the correct apartment. There is no elevator, and reaching the apartment involves narrow stairs and corridors, making access difficult with medium or large luggage. The common areas and corridors were very dirty and did not correspond to what I would expect at this price level. Inside, the apartment felt cluttered with unnecessary items rather than properly prepared for a short-term guest. The shower leaked and was difficult to use, the bed creaked considerably and did not feel sturdy, and the windows and shutters were dirty. The most serious problem was the air conditioning. AC was specifically advertised as a facility, but it did not work while outside temperatures were above 30°C, making the apartment extremely uncomfortable. Even worse, I could not get a timely response or solution from the host. After two nights in these conditions and extensive calls with Booking.com, Booking.com intervened and an agreement was eventually reached with the host to shorten my stay and refund the remaining two nights. I therefore moved to another accommodation. Considering the condition of the property, the non-functioning AC and the lack of timely support, I found the accommodation very poor value for the price paid.
