We spent quite a long time looking for the right place for our stay, because our wish list was not exactly short: we were travelling with a child and a small dog, wanted a pool, a clean and comfortable place, and ideally a proper villa where we could actually feel at home rather than just stay in a hotel room.
And somehow, we found exactly that.
The villa itself is new, beautiful and incredibly well thought out. Everything feels fresh, clean and made for real life, not just for pretty photos. There is plenty of storage, a fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need, two showers, a large washing machine, a lovely living area, a small balcony, comfortable mattresses, good bed linen, fresh towels and even a drying rack. All those little practical things that suddenly become very important when you are travelling as a family.
Our villa didn’t have a sea view, but honestly, we didn’t miss it for a second. It was actually wonderfully shaded and comfortable, especially for sleeping, and we loved not waking up with the sun directly in our faces. The sea itself is only a few minutes’ walk away.
There is also private parking, a pool, and a small home-style kitchen where you can order food for very reasonable prices. And a warning: the portions are enormous. We quickly learned that two dishes were more than enough for the three of us. I don’t think we managed to finish a single portion during our stay.
But what really made this place special was the people.
The hosts are some of the warmest and most genuinely caring people we have met while travelling in Georgia. They were constantly checking whether we needed anything, helping with recommendations, telling us where to buy things and where to go, and simply making sure we were comfortable.
They were wonderful with our child, asking if he was hungry or needed anything. They were equally lovely about our little poodle.
