We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Norham, and this is without doubt the best self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect, with lovely walks right from the doorstep. Norham itself has a friendly village feel, with a great pub serving excellent food and providing first-class service. There's also a bakery, a small grocery shop and a butcher, although we have to admit we made the most of the pub! It's also an ideal base for exploring the area, with easy drives to Holy Island, Berwick-upon-Tweed and the Chain Bridge Honey Farm, which is well worth a visit. The accommodation itself is outstanding. It is beautifully furnished, exceptionally comfortable and immediately feels like home. The beds, pillows and duvets were so comfortable that we enjoyed some of the best night's sleep we've had away from home. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need, and there were plenty of towels provided. The powerful shower was a real treat after a day out exploring. We also loved relaxing in the beautiful sun-trap garden, surrounded by colourful wildflowers. It was such a peaceful place to sit with a morning coffee or an evening drink. The owner was friendly, welcoming and always on hand if needed, while still giving us complete privacy throughout our stay. We stayed for a week and genuinely didn't want to leave. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful accommodation and very much hope to return in the future.
